PCIM - NEWS 2005
A manufacturer of inductive structural components, the company Johann Lasslop GmbH launched a new product family in conjunction with the PCIM 2005 trade fair held in Nuremberg.
The special advantages of these new products may be described in brief as follows:
smaller– lighter – less losses.
Example of the new development results embodying the above properties are coils with flat copper helical winding.
The new winding technique used with flat copper sidewise winding enables optimal exploitation of winding space with simultaneous single-layer winding structure. The advantages resulting from this include extremely low DC-current (BIAS) losses and a high resonant frequency.
In addition, proximity dissipation is also lowered thanks to the horizontal orientation of the conductor in the magnetic field.
Applications for these coils are among others torque-motors, magnetic tables, linear motors and chokes.
